A calm dog resting in a luxury transport vehicle

Your dog belongs at the destination.

They just need a better way to get there.

Seasonal travel, second homes, extended vacations, and relocations—handled with direct accountability from pickup to handoff.

Help us build the first Paw & Porter route calendar—not by donating, but by reserving a journey your pet already needs.

Because the trip would not be the same without them.

Paw & Porter is designed for people whose dogs are an important part of where they are going, but whose travel plans make flying or personally driving impractical.

Seasonal & Second-Home Travel

Your dog moves when you do—without requiring you to make the entire drive.

Family Vacations

Bring the whole family, even when your dog cannot comfortably fly.

Long-Distance Moves

Six steps. One accountable Porter.

01

Request a Journey

Provide your pickup and destination, preferred travel dates, pet details, and any special care needs. We review every request for route feasibility and service fit.

02

Consultation & Review

We discuss your pet’s routine, temperament, health, and mobility. We review route options, timing, pickup and delivery parties, and required documentation.

03

Quote & Reservation

You receive a proposed route, service scope, estimated schedule, price, and deposit requirement. A deposit reserves your dates and route.

04

Pre-Trip Preparation

We confirm veterinary records, medication instructions, feeding schedule, emergency contacts, authorized parties, and any comfort items your pet should bring.

05

The Journey

Your pet travels in a climate-controlled private vehicle with regular comfort stops. You receive pickup confirmation, progress updates, photos, and overnight arrival notices.

06

Handoff

The Porter confirms the identity of the authorized recipient and completes a documented handoff. You receive a final journey summary and care log.

Care boundaries

Paw & Porter is a professional transportation and care service, not a veterinary service. The following applies to every journey:

  • Pets must be safe to transport by road.
  • Known medical conditions must be disclosed.
  • Medication instructions must be provided in writing.
  • The company may decline transport when it cannot safely meet an animal’s needs.
  • Emergency veterinary care may be sought when reasonably necessary.
  • The owner remains responsible for veterinary costs and approved third-party expenses.
  • Animals requiring specialized medical supervision may require veterinary transport instead.

Founder-led. Boutique by design.

Founded on the belief that pet relocation should feel personal, calm, and transparent, Paw & Porter is a boutique, founder-operated ground travel service. Each journey is personally overseen by the same Porter from pre-trip planning through final handoff — ensuring continuity of care, documented accountability, and calm, attentive transport for your companion.

The founder brings a professional background in field operations and aviation safety — disciplines built on flight planning, risk assessment, and accountable communication. As an experienced long-distance traveler and dog owner, the founder built Paw & Porter around a simple belief: pet relocation should feel personal, calm, and transparent, not transactional.

We operate intentionally small. Limited journey availability. Advance reservations encouraged. Routes accepted based on schedule and service fit. Custom availability confirmation required.

We do not operate a national fleet or have Porters stationed throughout the country. We are a single vehicle, a single accountable service, and a commitment to doing this exceptionally well.

Notes from our first passenger.

Hawkins 'Hawk' Kilo giving a high-five
“I thought I’d be stuck in a crate with a bunch of strangers and some chihuahua yapping the whole way. Nope. The whole van was mine. One guy. One dog. Zero chihuahuas. We stopped for snacks, I got a belly rub at every rest area, and my human got a photo update every few hours. Honestly, I’m a little offended she didn’t ride with me — but I get it. The Porter was pretty great.”
